Cowgirl Equestrian Edged By No. 7 TCU

Oklahoma State's equestrian team dropped its second show this weekend to the seventh-ranked TCU Horned Frogs, falling 10-9 on Sunday.
With the loss, OSU fell to 6-5 on the year.
The Cowgirls did come away with a victory in the English portion of the show with the high point coming in a 4-1 rout in equitation on the flat.
Picking up victories for OSU were seniors Sarah Summers, Sam Collingsworth, and Charlotte Collingsworth and junior Ally Blais. Blais won her second MVP on the weekend and her fifth on the year in the discipline. Charlotte Collingsworth now has a 9-1 record on the season, while Blais has picked up nine wins and Sam Collingsworth and Summers have each added eight victories.
The Horned Frogs squeaked by the Cowgirls, 3-2, in equitation over fences. Blais picked up her second victory on the day along with sophomore Erin Prutow. Blais has a 9-2 record this season in equitation over fences.
The win for the English half of the show improved the squad's record to 6-5 on the season.
The Cowgirls were defeated in the Western portion of the show by a 6-3 tally. In the reining discipline, junior Rachell Shobe and sophomore Bri Parnell picked up wins for the Cowgirls. Parnell earned the MVP, which was her second of the year. Shobe now has six wins this season.
OSU's lone victory in the horsemanship discipline came from Courtney Whitacre, who has compiled a 6-3-1 record on the year.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Saturday March 14 against Auburn
at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater.
