Cowgirls Take Down No. 3 Baylor

STILLWATER – No. 5 Oklahoma State improved to 3-2 on the season with a 13-7 win over No. 3 Baylor at Totusek Arena on Saturday.
The Cowgirls dominated Western competition, defeating Baylor by a total of 8-2.
Cowgirl seniors Paris Nottingham and Ty Paris and sophomores Elizabeth Collins and Kirsten Chamberland earned points in Horsemanship.
Nottingham, who took home MOP honors, defeated Mary Brown 74.5-72, Paris defeated Abbi Demel 72-71.5, Collins defeated Bray Bergstrom 71-69.5 and Chamberland defeated Charlotte Green 72.5-67.5.
Oklahoma State continued its success in Reining this season, winning the event 4-1.
The Cowgirls remain unbeaten in Reining this season, posting a 4-0-1 record this fall.
Erin Willoughby improved to a perfect 5-0 on the season, knocking off Baylor's Charlotte Green 70-67.5.
Julia Purus trumped Claire Ulhman 68.5-67 and Ebba Lange bested Elizabeth Shank 71.5-69.5.
Lange was named Most Outstanding Player in Reining.
All-American Justine Peters was also victorious, defeating Ginger Chant 65.5-64.5.
In Hunterseat competition, Oklahoma State and Baylor tied 5-5.
Carly Barrick and Jorden Davis were victorious for the Cowgirls in Equitation on the Flat. Barrick defeated Jenny Mitchell 72-68 and Davis bested Rachel Van Allen 71-65.
In Equitation over Fences, Maggie Drysch topped Shannon Hogue 76-73, Katie Jones outdueled Alicia Gasser 82-80 and All-American Amy White was triumphant over Paige Parker, winning 81-79.
Jones' score of 82 was a meet-high for Oklahoma State.
The Cowgirls return to action on November 14 for a home meet against TCU.
