Cowgirls Win on the Road at TCU, 11-8

FORT WORTH - The No. 8-ranked Oklahoma State Equestrian team defeated No. 7 TCU, 11-8, in a close Big 12 Conference road contest Saturday.

The Cowgirls'Â 10th point came from junior Kendall Pedigo, as she won her Equitation on the Flat matchup, 84-79. Jorden Davis and Maggie Drysch also scored points in their flat matchups.

The Cowgirls started the day off with a victory in Equitation over Fences, 3-2, as each OSU rider scored an 80 or above. Drysch, Katie Jones and Hannah Janson each scored points for the Cowgirls. Janson, a freshman, made her debut today and captured MOP honors as she scored an 88, the highest score of the day for Equitation over Fences.

OSU's Reining team continued its dominance today as Ebba Lange continued her undefeated streak in Reining today with a 75-67.5 win over TCU's Carley Montemuro. The win moves Lange's record to 4-0 on the season. Junior Danielle Cohen received the Cowgirls second MOP honor with a 66-0 victory in her Reining matchup.

The Cowgirls also had strong rides in Horsemanship but penalties cost them in the end. Senior Miranda Reed scored the lone point in the event, and freshmen Nikki Campbell tied in her matchup.

"We had very strong rides in all four events today," head coach Larry Sanchez said. "This team continues to get better each week and this is due to their strong work ethic and positive attitude. I look forward to what the rest of the season brings."

The Cowgirls return home for another home meet against Georgia on Nov. 19, at Totusek Arena in Stillwater.
