Cowgirls Keep Rolling, Take Down No. 6 TCU

SPRINGTOWN, Texas – Fifth-ranked Cowgirl Equestrian extended its winning streak to four with a 12-8 victory over No. 6 TCU on Friday.

The Cowgirls have won their last seven Big 12 regular season meets.

Oklahoma State (6-2) dominated in Western competition, outscoring the Horned Frogs 8-2.

In Horsemanship, Miranda Reed led the Cowgirls with a personal season-high score of 75.5, defeating TCU's Megan McMullen.

Reed's performance earned MOP honors in the event.

Ty Paris improved her record to 5-3 with a 74-72 victory over Rylee Morgan. Paris Nottingham and Elizabeth Collins also notched victories for OSU, defeating Lacey Bohn (74.5-73) and Carly Epp (71.5-70), respectively.

Reining resulted in a similar fashion, as the Cowgirls took the event, 4-1.

All-American Justine Peters defeated Hunter DeJane, 71.5-69 and took home MOP honors as she improved her record to 5-3 on the season.

Danielle Cohen, Julia Purus and Ebba Lange all picked up points for the Oklahoma State, as the defeated Brooke Boyle (71-67), Carley Montemuro (68-55.5) and Meloney Morris (70-68.5), respectively.

Purus has now earned points in her last six matches for Oklahoma State.

Lange is an impressive 7-1 for OSU in Reining, where the Cowgirls are 7-0-1 as a whole and outscoring their opponents 26-11-3 on the season.

In Hunt Seat competition, Katie Jones and Kaitlyn Arnold both earned points for the Cowgirls in the season debuts in Equitation on the Flat and Equitation over Fences.

Jones defeated TCU's Emelie Burgess, 75-64 and Arnold bested Nikki Diamantis, 69-68.

The Cowgirls return to action tomorrow as they face off with No. 4 Baylor at 1 p.m. in Waco, Texas.
