Cowgirls Advance To Big 12 Championship Final

STILLWATER – Behind a strong performance in Equitation over Fences, second-seeded Oklahoma State topped TCU, 12-7, on Friday to advance to the Big 12 Championship finals.
The Cowgirls will face off against top-seeded Baylor at 10 a.m. Saturday at Totusek Arena for the Big 12 Championship title.
Against TCU, the Cowgirls won Fences by a 5-0 margin.
Maggie Drysch led the way in the event with a combined score of 169, defeating TCU's Molly Peddicord's 162.
Carly Barrick picked up her eighth victory of the season in the event, topping Jayme Omand, 162-154.
Also in Fences, Jorden Davis bested Nikki Diamantis, 172-129, Amy White topped Marisa Malevitis, 168-142 and Katie Jones triumphed over Carley Barnett, 161-64.
Continuing in Hunterseat competition, Davis found herself victorious once again, defeating Diamantis,158-147.
Drysch defeated Barnett, 168-149, and Barrick topped Hancock, 165-152, to give the Cowgirls an 8-2 advantage across Hunterseat competition.
In Horsemanship, Libby Collins and Paris Nottingham picked up points for OSU, defeating Lacey Bohn (144.5-141) and Alex Stark (147-131), respectively.
In Reining, Danielle Cohen notched her third victory of the season, outscoring Chantz Stewart, 139-138.
Erin Willoughby continued her successful season by topping Carley Montemuro, 133-116. Julia Purus also tied Brooke Boyle with scores of 135.5.
