Cowgirls Stay Perfect in Big 12 Play

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The No. 4 Oklahoma State Cowgirl equestrian team got its ninth-straight win against No. 7 TCU, 10-9, at Turning Point Ranch.
Down 7-5 with Horsemanship and Equitation on the Flat remaining, the Cowgirls (6-3, 3-0) rattled off five straight points to seal the win. Two of those points came in Horsemanship and the other three came in Equitation on the Flat.
The Cowgirls took Equitation on the Flat, 3-2, with the meet-sealing point coming from Katie Jones with her 79-58 victory. Maggie Drysch and Hannah Janson earned the other two points in the event for OSU.
The Cowgirls also took Horsemanship, 3-2. Libby Collins, Harley Huff and Sarah Miller got the points for the Cowgirls. Huff received her team-high sixth MOP honor with her 75-66 win over TCU's Marah Huston.
The two teams tied in Reining, 2-2. Ebba Lange and Hannah Mitchell took home the two points for the Cowgirls. Mitchell earned MOP honors for the second-straight meet with her 72-71.5 win against TCU's Elena Hurd.
Equitation Over Fences would go to TCU, 3-2. Carly Barrick and Abigail Brayman both scored in the 80's to receive the points for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls are currently on a hot streak, as they have won three meets in a row with two of those coming against ranked opponents. They sit atop the Big 12 standings where they have remained in first place over the course of the season.
Up next, OSU returns home for senior day on March 10, at Totusek Arena.
