April 22, 2025 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATERÂ - Coming off its best team performance of the season, Oklahoma State improved one spot to No. 29 in the latest Division I women's golf rankings.
Â
Scoreboard by Clippd's new computerized rankings system assigns points based on course difficulty, field depth and numerous other factors.
Â
OSU earned a season-best 59.19 rankings points at last weekend's Big 12 Championship, where it tied for the lowest team score out of the 14 schools (10 of which are now ranked 37th or higher nationally).
Â
After sharing fifth place at last week's championship, Grace Kilcrease and Marta Silchenko both saw big gains in the individual rankings. The pair bested 16 of the nation's top-100 golfers and earned 51.21 rankings points apiece.
Â
Kilcrease – a junior from Springdale, Ark. -- moved up eight spots to No. 35 on the national list. It was her seventh top-10 finish of the season and her best weighted performance since winning last September's Carmel Cup.
Â
Silchenko leaped 45 spots to No. 89. The sophomore missed the entire fall season with a back injury but has made up for lost time with three top-10 showings in six spring events and a 71.6 stroke average. Silchenko's highest-rated performance came at last month's Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate, where she tied for ninth place while finishing ahead of 13 of the nation's top 50 golfersÂ
Â
Sophomore Elli Bushnell (No. 156), junior Thitaporn Saithip (175) and freshman Summer Lee (242) are also ranked inside the top 250 in this week's rankings.
Â
The NCAA Women's Golf selection show airs at Noon CT Wednesday on the Golf Channel, with regional action slated for May 5-7. The Cowgirls are in line for a No. 5 seed, according to projections released by NBCSports.com.
