June 18, 2025 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State women's golfer Marta Silchenko has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team.
Â
CSC -- formerly known as CoSIDA – annually recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance in competition and in the classroom.
Â
To be nominated, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA, be at least a sophomore academically and meet additional sport-specific athletic standards (for women's golf, participation in a conference championship or at least 70% of an institution's team scoring events). Those included on all-district teams will be considered for the CSC Academic All-America team, which be announced next month.
Â
Silchenko, a sophomore international business major from Riga, Latvia, missed the fall season to injury but played her way up to 58th in the final rankings after a strong spring campaign. She tied for fifth at the Big 12 Championship to claim a spot on the all-tournament team and grabbed a share of eighth place at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional to help OSU secure its fifth straight NCAA Championship appearance.
Â
This is the third consecutive season that OSU has placed a women's golfer on the CSC All-District team, and Silchenko is the program's 14th all-district selection since 2000.
###
Â
25 conference titles. 31 NCAA Championship appearances. 44 All-Americans.
