Young unveils 2025-26 Cowgirl Golf schedule
July 17, 2025 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's golf team will go border-to-border — and beyond — with a 2025-26 schedule packed with elite courses and top-tier competition.
New head coach Annie Young's squad will pay visits to Pebble Beach and Prairie Dunes — both ranked among Golf Digest's top 25 U.S. courses — as well as Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth and internationally known Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico.
"This is the kind of schedule you put together when you want to prepare your team for postseason golf," Young said. "Every stop on this list challenges you in a different way — weather, altitude, course style. It's going to make us better."
Young, who coached the Cowgirls from 2008-11, is back for her second tour of duty with a schedule that brings a similar blend of old and new.
The journey begins at Pebble Beach Golf Links (Aug. 29-31), where Grace Kilcrease will look to defend her individual title at the Carmel Cup. From there, OSU heads to Norman for a sixth straight appearance in the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 20-22).
The Cowgirls will tackle two former NCAA Championship courses in October, beginning with the inaugural Prairie Dunes Invitational (Oct. 6-7) in Hutchinson, Kan. In addition to the 2014 NCAA men's championship, Prairie Dunes Country Club has been host to the U.S. Women's Open and the U.S. Senior Open. The Cowgirls last played there 30 years ago, winning the 1994 Kansas Sunflower Invitational.
The fall wraps up in California at the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 17-19), offering a sneak peek at a Stanford Golf Course – a two-time NCAA women's championship host and future home to 2026 NCAA regional action. This will be OSU's 12th appearance at one of Stanford's home tournaments and first since 2018.
Young is set to revive an even older Cowgirl golf tradition when her team opens the spring season at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club (Jan. 30-31). Best known as the home course of LPGA legend Lorena Ochoa, the club was an annual stop for OSU under hall of fame head coach Anne Pitts in the 1980s and 90s.
The Cowgirls continue with stops at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate (Feb. 9-10 at Tucson Country Club) and UNF Collegiate (Feb. 23-24 at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club). Notably, OSU has played 40+ events in the Sunshine State, but this marks its first-ever tournament in Jacksonville.
One of Sin City's most exclusive clubs is located far from the stip. The Cowgirls will spend two days at the Las Vegas Country Club competing in UNLV's Lady Luck Invitational (Mar. 2-3). In addition to some world-famous clientele, the course has been the site of more than 20 PGA and LPGA events over the years and is currently a stop on the LIV tour.
The regular season concludes with events at two more PGA-tested venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex: the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational (Mar. 22-24 at Colonial Country Club) and the Veritex Bank Collegiate (Apr. 6-7 at Trinity Forest Golf Club).
Both serve as high-level tune-ups for the Big 12 Championship (Apr. 23-25), which returns to Dallas Athletic Club for the first time since 2023 when Maddison Hinson-Tolchard and the Cowgirls swept the team and individual crowns.
Regional competition runs from May 11-13 with the top 30 teams and select individuals advancing to Carlsbad, Calif. for the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa (May 22-27).
The Cowgirls have reached the NCAA Championship final site in each of the past five seasons and will return an experienced core for 2025-26, led by Kilcrease (All-Big 12, Honorable Mention All-American) and rising junior Marta Silchenko (top-10 conference and regional finisher).
