STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football practice fields have a new name – the Jerry Winchester Family Fields.
The Winchester Family Fields are the three outdoor fields immediately east of the Sherman Smith Indoor Training Center. They will be officially dedicated on August 22.
A three-year Cowboy Football letterwinner who graduated in 1983, Winchester was an Academic All-Big Eight honoree who went on to a successful career in energy.
He and his family have donated more than $5 million to Oklahoma State University, with significant gifts going to OSU Athletics, the Ferguson College of Agriculture and the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. This naming rights gift to OSU Athletics is his largest to date.
A 2025 inductee into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame, Winchester is a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association and currently serves on the OSU Foundation Board of Governors in addition to several other positions of distinction held over the years.
Winchester and his wife, Rae, have two daughters, Cowgirl Basketball alumna Abbie Winchester and Leigh Winchester Peterson, who graduated from OSU in 2016.
