Cowgirls tied for fourth place heading into final round of Carmel Cup

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Oklahoma State women's golf teed off Saturday at Pebble Beach for the second round of the Carmel Cup.
The Cowgirls combined for a 373-stroke round, 13 strokes over par. OSU trails tournament leader Texas A&M by 29 shots.
Junior Ellie Bushnell shot a team-best 70 (-2) on the day, making par-or-better on every hole with 2 birdies and 16 pars. The third-year Poke jumped up 20 spots on the individual leaderboard, standing in 15th place heading into the final round of the tournament.
After shooting a 4-over 40 on the front nine, sophomore Lucy Darr caught fire in the second half of her round, shooting a 35 (-1) and making par-or-better on eight of the final nine holes (3 birdies, 5 pars). Darr ended Saturday at 3 strokes over par, carding a 75.
True freshman Yu-Chu Chen saw a 5-stroke improvement from her first round, firing a 74 (+2) with 37s on both the front and back nine.
Preseason All-American Grace Kilcrease ended the day at 3 strokes over par, recording a 75. Kilcrease remains in the top 10 individually, sitting in tenth place at 1-over par through two rounds.
Summer Lee carded a 79 (+7) and Marta Silchenko posted an 80 (+8).
The Cowgirls will return to Pebble Beach Sunday morning for the third and final round of the Carmel Cup.
