Oklahoma State Cross Country announces 2025 schedule
August 06, 2025 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track, Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
STILLWATER – The Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course will play host to three regular season home meets and the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships as a part of the 2025 cross country schedule.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will open the 2025 campaign Aug. 29 at the Cowboy Preview in Stillwater before hosting the 87th annual Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 26. In the past four seasons, four different Cowboys and three different Cowgirls have taken the top step of the podium at the Cowboy Jamboree, including three sweeps:
2021: Isai Rodriguez and Taylor Roe
2022: Alex Maier and Natalie Cook
2023: Denis Kipngetich and Billah Jepkirui
2024: Brian Musau
OSU returns nearly a month later, wrapping up the regular season with a split-meet weekend with the Weis-Crockett Invitational in Stillwater on Oct. 17 and the Pre-National Invitational in Missouri Oct. 18. The Cowboys and Cowgirls will then head north for the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence, Kan., on Halloween.
Postseason play continues with a return to the Greiner Family Cross Country Course for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 14. Stillwater has hosted the regional meet on five different occasions (1985, 2003, 2008, 2019 and 2023), with the current iteration of the course hosting the latter two. OSU swept the last time it hosted the regional championships, with the men scoring just 19 points as they went onto win the national title the following week.
The season wraps up back at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Missouri for the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 22.
The Cowboys return a trio of two-time cross country All-Americans as Kipngetich, Musau and Fouad Messaoudi have each placed in the top-12 at the national meet on two occasions. On the women's side, the Cowgirls welcome the return of 2023 All-American Billah Jepkirui, who won the 2023 Cowboy Jamboree and NCAA Midwest Regional before placing seventh at the national meet.
The Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course was opened in 2019 and is named after Don and Shellie Greiner, as well as Don's father Ken, who have pledged a significant gift to Oklahoma State Athletics.
