D'Onofrio Named NCEA Horsemanship Rider of the Month

STILLWATER — The National Collegiate Equestrian Association named Oklahoma State junior Bella D'Onofrio the NCEA Arion Sellier Horsemanship Rider of the Month for February on Wednesday.

D'Onofrio went a perfect 3-0 during the month, extending her overall winning streak to five meets dating back to November. Her standout performance came against Baylor, where she scored a season-high 77.5 in a 77.5-71.5 victory to earn her second career MOP honor. She added a narrow 76-75.75 win over Fresno State and a 72-71 decision against TCU to complete an undefeated February.

The honor marks the first monthly award of D'Onofrio's career. She becomes the third Cowgirl to earn NCEA Rider of the Month recognition this season, joining June Roberson and Emma Filiatreau, who both received the distinction in November.

D'Onofrio and the Cowgirls will close out the regular season Saturday with a trip to Dallas to take on SMU.
