The 2025-26 season will be Brady Priess' seventh with the Oklahoma State men's basketball program and his first in a full-time capacity. The former OSU manager and graduate assistant was promoted to Assistant Director of Scouting in July 2025.
In his new role, Priess (pronounced "Price") will help evaluate players in the transfer portal, as well as high school and international prospects. He’ll play a key role in building and managing the program’s internal recruiting database and relationships with third-party scouting services. His duties also include assisting with opponent scouting during the season, coordinating official and unofficial campus visits, and supporting the team’s practice analytics and film breakdown processes.
Â
Priess first joined the Cowboys as a student manager in 2019 and served as head manager during the 2022-23 season.  In addition to overseeing a large group of student managers, he pitched in with day-to-day operations, including practice setup and apparel inventory, and had a hand in the team’s scouting and film preparation. From 2020-22, he gained additional experience as a student coordinator with the OSU facilities staff, working with a wide range of sports.
Priess went on to contribute to the program as a graduate assistant for two years -- the first under Mike Boynton Jr. and the second under Lutz, aiding in player development, defensive scouting, and operational logistics.
Â
The Cowboys, led by Big 12 Player of the Year and No. 1 overall draft pick Cade Cunningham, advanced to the second round of the 2021 NCAA tournament and made runs to the 2023 and 2025 NIT quarterfinals.
The Claremore native completed his Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma State in May 2025, after earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in finance and minors in accounting and energy business in the spring of 2023.
