Buzz Heflin

- Special Assistant to the Head Coach
Known for being the Cowgirls’ fuzziest fan, Buzz serves the program as special assistant to head coach Jacie Hoyt.
“Buzz embodies all that comes with our Cowgirl culture. He is Loyal and True through and through. He has a huge heart for serving others and loves being a part of our program and the Stillwater community,” Hoyt said.
In his current capacity, Buzz’s devout commitment has established his position as a top-flight recruiter for the Cowgirls and a prominent figure in the team’s photo shoots. Additionally, he has been integral to the program with his emotional support for the OSU staff and players.
Not surprisingly, he loves a quality buzzer beater and his favorite to date came in 2024 when Anna Gret Asi made a SportsCenter Top 10-worthy shot which propelled the Cowgirls to a win over No. 24 West Virginia.
Buzz has worked his way up the ranks very quickly and is one of very few in his position across the country. In his first year, Buzz quickly made a name for himself serving alongside Hoyt as her special assistant.
Buzz was born in Oakley, Kansas.
