Henry Bendt

- Herd Manager
   Chappell is in her fifth year as the herd manager for Oklahoma State.
   A native of Angwin, California, Chappell graduated from Pacific Union College Preparatory School before attending the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. While there, she was a member of the Western IHSA team for a year and a member of the Stock Horse team and graduated with a B.S. in Equine Science and Equine Business Management in 2013. Â
   After graduation, Chappell worked at Stony B Acres in Bernardston, Massachusetts, where she was assistant barn manager and riding instructor. She was also part of the International Horse Clinics that AQHA offered through various universities. The University of Findlay staff chose four students to travel abroad and help give clinics in several countries, and Chappell was selected for clinics in Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
   In the fall of 2013, Chappell returned to Ohio to work for Randy Wilson Quarter Horses. As an assistant for Wilson, she rode, handled yearlings, started horses under saddle and managed all his horses’ health. Â
   After working with Wilson for five years, Chappell moved to Oklahoma and became barn manager for Starland Ranch LLC in El Reno, where she cared for all the broodmares and foals while also helping their trainer start horses’ saddle.
   Chappell and her husband, Joshua, were married in 2021.
