A 2019 All-American who was part of the leadership core of coach Kenny Gajewski’s first Women’s College World Series team at OSU, Simpson (then Madi Sue Montgomery), started 244 games during the span of her OSU career and was a career .318 hitter. She was a three-time all-region selection and four-time all-Big 12 honoree.

She stayed on as a graduate assistant during the 2020 and 2021 OSU softball seasons before taking a full-time coaching role at Tulsa, where she was on staff for the 2022 and 2023 campaigns.
She is married to former Cowboy Baseball standout Colin Simpson.
