Wes Drake was hired Oklahoma State's Director of Scouting in December 2025.
He came to OSU from North Texas, where he served as the Director of Player Personnel for the 2025 season and oversaw all aspects of the recruiting evaluation process for both high school and transfer portal prospects.
Drake spent the 2024 season in the same role at the University of Buffalo.Â
In his lone year with the Bulls, Buffalo went 9-4 and earned a bowl berth for the sixth time in program history. Buffalo would go to the Bahamas Bowl where they knocked off Liberty 26-7.
Prior to his time at Buffalo, Drake had a short stint as a scouting/recruiting analyst at Northwestern in the summer of 2024.
No stranger to the state of Texas, Drake served as a Player Personnel Assistant at TCU from August 2023 to May 2024. He helped the Horned Frogs land the No. 2 high school recruiting class in the Big 12 and the No. 34 class in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings in 2024.
Drake graduated from the University of Houston in December of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration. In his time as a student at Houston, Drake was a Player Personnel/Operations/Recruiting Intern from June 2022 to August 2023.
