Tulane Hands Cowboy Netters Second Consecutive Loss

NEW ORLEANS -- The Oklahoma State men's tennis team lost a grueling 4-3 decision to Tulane University on Saturday at the Goldring Tennis Complex in New Orleans.
For the second consecutive match. the Cowboys' fate was decided on the final match of the day. OSU's Matt Prentice dropped a three-set decision at No. 1 singles to finish the team scoring at 4-3 in favor of the Green Wave. On the day, four out of the six singles matches went three sets.
The loss drops the Cowboys to 4-2 on the season, while the Green Wave improves to 6-5.
OSU and Tulane split the singles matches, with each school winning three apiece. The Cowboys got singles wins from Fran Krepelka, Jiri Jezek and Jeremy Ewert. Krepelka improved to 6-0 on the season for the Cowboys at No. 4 singles.
The Cowboys' lone doubles win came courtesy of Chris Bates and Krepelka at the No. 2 position.
OSU will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Gulfport, Mississippi to take on the University of New Orleans.
