Men's Tennis Upsets Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. -- The 75th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team defeated in-state rival Tulsa, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon at the Harwell Tennis Courts.
The win was the second consecutive for the Cowboys, who improved to 8-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. The 37th-ranked Golden Hurricane dropped to 9-5 on the year.
The two teams split six singles matches before the Cowboys took two out of three doubles matches to secure the contest's final team point.
OSU picked up wins from Chris Bates, Eru Lyndon and Fran Krepelka at the No. 2, 3 and 5 positions. Krepelka's win improved the sophomore's mark to 11-1 on the season.
In doubles action, the No. 1 tandem of Lyndon and Matt Prentice bounced back from their weekend loss at Kansas to claim an 8-6 decision. The Pokes also garnered a win at No. 2 doubles when Bates and Krepelka earned their 10th victory of the season.
The Cowboys will see their first action at home when they square off against Oklahoma on April 12 at 2 p.m.
