Cowboys Cap Off Weekend with Win Over No. 49 Pepperdine

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's No. 32 men's tennis team finished the weekend with two wins after defeating the No. 49 Pepperdine Waves, 4-0, on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
A strong showing in doubles set the Cowboys up for their 12th win of the season. The 16th-ranked duo of Jakob Sude and Arjun Kadhe earned a quick 6-2 win over the No. 79 team of Thakkar and Hadlich. Lucas Gerch and Nicolai Ferrigno picked up their 10th-straight doubles win on Sunday, beating the Hill/Iamachkine team, 6-3, to clinch the doubles point.
The Pokes (12-3; 0-0 Big 12) maintained the lead the rest of the match, earning singles wins on courts two, five and three.
At the No. 2 spot, Lucas Gerch produced a straight-set win over Stefan Menichella. The Cowboy won both of his sets with a 6-4 decision.
Extending the OSU lead to 3-0 was Nicolai Ferrigno, who gave up just six games en route to a 6-2, 6-4 win over Lautaro Pane on court five.
Kadhe, ranked No. 122, completed the Cowboys' shutout over the Waves with a win on court three. Kadhe trailed early in the first set, 3-0, but won the next six games to take the set, 6-3. He snatched the second set, defeating Pedro Iamachkine, 6-3, 6-4.
Play on courts one, four and six was not finished, but all three Cowboys were in the midst of big comebacks after losing their first sets.
The Cowboys travel to Dallas, Texas next week for a trio of matches, facing teams such as SMU, Texas Pan-American and Dartmouth.
