Cowgirls Host No. 72 Sooners For Bedlam

 Kelsey Laurente and Maria Alvarez are ranked as the No. 29 doubles tandem in the country due to their ITA Central Region title, after being unranked in the fall.

Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari are tabbed as the No. 33 pairing in the nation and Vladica Babic and Katarina Adamovic hold the No. 39 ranking.

Babic is the highest ranked Cowgirl in singles, earning the No. 29 spot. Adamovic is ranked No. 33.

All-American Lushkova checks in at the No. 47 spot in the latest ITA rankings of the spring.

The Cowgirls own eight wins against ranked opponents so far this season through 13 matches.

The Cowgirls also own two wins against Alabama, who was ranked as high as No. 13 in the country. OSU also owns a win against a top 10 team in the latest ITA polls: No. 13 Wichita State.

Laurente and partner Maria Alvarez clinched the championship match for the Cowgirls against Pepperdine as they upset the No. 12 tandem of Matea Cutura and Christine Maddox, 8-6.

Laurente also added two doubles wins over the weekend, including a straight-set victory against Danielle Spielmann of Alabama, 6-0, 6-2.

The Cowgirls are back in the Top-10 of the latest rankings, marking the second time this season that the Cowgirls have been in the top 10.
