Cowgirl Equestrian Falls At Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – In its final meet of the fall, Oklahoma State suffered a 15-4 road loss to No. 3 Auburn.
With the loss, the seventh-ranked Cowgirls fell to 3-3 on the season, while AU improved to 6-1.
The meet began with Flat and Reining.
In Flat, the Tigers took the first four points. Auburn earned its first point of the day when Emma Kurtz defeated OSU's Elizabeth Carter, 89-80. Ella Reinauer was up next for the Cowgirls and fell to Sophee Steckbeck, 84-80, before Grace McReynolds came up short against Ava Stearns, 78-76. Auburn's Ellie Ferrigno got the fourth point of the day by defeating Hope King, 86-73. Lastly, Hannah Coleman secured a needed point for the Cowgirls, outscoring Mary Grace Segars, 79-74.
In Reining, Auburn again secured four points. Auburn's Isabella Tesmer notched the first point by defeating Jojo Roberson 72.5-68. The next point was tied, with Tristan Bagby and Alexia Tordoff both scoring a 69.5, but the next three points went to Auburn as Molly Michell came up short against Oliva Tordoff, 73-68.5, Quincee Clark was just shy of Auburn's Kate Buchanan, 75-70, and Kelly Harper lost to Olivia Marin, 70-64.5, to round out the competition.
The meet continued with Fences and Horsemanship.
In Horsemanship, the Cowgirls secured three out of five points. Peyton Baxter led off for the Cowgirls, narrowly losing to Maddie Spak, 73.5-72.5, but Clair McDowall won OSU's second point of the day by defeating Caroline Fredenburg, 75.5-72.5.
Alexia Tordoff outscored June Roberson, 78.5-71.5, to give Auburn its second and last point in the Horsemanship competition. Up next, Jojo Roberson defeated Olivia Tordoff, 79-77, to win MOP honors, marking her second-straight MOP in Horsemanship. Rounding out the event, Maddie Fussell scored the last point for the Cowgirls by defeating Madison Parduhn, 71-70.
