Cowboy Tennis Falls To TCU In Conference Semifinals

LAWRENCE, Kans. – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team fell to second-seeded TCU, 4-0, on Saturday during Big 12 Championship semifinal action at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.Â
With the loss, the Cowboys moved to 13-13 on the year.Â
In doubles play, TCU's Sebastian Gorzny and Pedro Vives defeated Isaac Becroft and Alex Garcia, 6-1, on court two. The Horned Frogs claimed the doubles point when TCU's No. 18 duo, Sander Jong and Lui Maxted bested Alessio Basile and Carl Roothman, 6-1, on court three.Â
In singles action, court three was first to finish when No. 88 Jack Pinnington defeated Oklahoma State's Alex Garcia, 6-1, 6-3. TCU's Lui Maxted beat Carl Roothman, 6-1, 6-1 on court six, growing the lead to three.Â
No. 26 Luc Fomba defeated OSU's Becroft, 6-4, 6-4, clinching the match for the Horned Frogs.Â
The Cowboys will await a potential NCAA tournament bid, with the tournament starting May 5 and a location to be announced.Â
