STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has added transfer wingback Emma Alvord to its roster.
A native of Argyle, Texas, Alvord spent her first two collegiate seasons at SMU, where she played 34 games and made 17 starts.
"Emma is a player we have known since her time with the FC Dallas club team," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "She was a highly decorated youth national team player who was heavily recruited out of high school. She is a tremendous athlete who possesses amazing speed and power and can play in the wide areas, and she is a threat both in the attack and defending.
"Emma's skillset is a perfect fit for our system, and we are really excited to welcome her to Stillwater in January."
Alvord recorded three goals and three assists in her career with the Mustangs and tallied 44 shots, 21 of those on goal, in nearly 1,850 minutes of action.
As a freshman, Alvord was named to the AAC All-Rookie Team as she started 15 games and collected a goal and two assists. Last season, Alvord had a pair of goals to go along with an assist in 17 games.
Alvord starred at the club level for FC Dallas ECNL, where she was a second-team all-conference pick in 2022 and helped lead the team to a third-place finish at ECNL Nationals.
As a prep at Denton Guyer High School, Alvord was a track standout who set a school record in the 400m dash and was a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams that also own school records.
