Cowgirl Soccer’s Pineda Collects Academic Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma State junior Xcaret Pineda is a 2024 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American.
A midfielder for the Cowgirls, Pineda was named to the NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-America Second Team.
Pineda is the 10th different OSU student-athlete to earn Scholar All-America honors from the United Soccer Coaches, and her selection marks the 13th in program history.
OSU Soccer now counts 26 Academic All-America honors in its history. Earlier this month, Mollie Breiner and Alex Morris earned that distinction from College Sports Communicators.
Pineda is a two-time CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection who carries a 3.79 grade point average in sports management. She has twice been named to the OSU President's Honor Roll and has also appeared on the OSU Dean's Honor Roll twice.
A native of Bolingbrook, Ill., Pineda has collected All-Big 12 accolades each of the last two seasons, including earning a spot on the first team in 2024.
In leading OSU to a 14-5-3 record and a berth in the NCAA Championship last season, Pineda was a starter in all 22 matches and was the Cowgirls' third leading scorer as she tallied six goals and four assists.
In her first three seasons in Stillwater, Pineda has played in 61 matches and recorded 14 goals and 11 assists.
