Cowgirls Earn All-Region Accolades

STILLWATER – Four Oklahoma State Cowgirls earned spots on the 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region teams.
Xcaret Pineda was named to the All-Midwest Region First Team, while Alex Morris earned third-team recognition; Mollie Breiner and Laudan Wilson picked up fourth-team honors. It marked the first all-region honors for each in their respective careers.
That quartet led the Cowgirls to a 14-5-3 record, OSU's most wins since 2019, and a return to the NCAA Championship for the first time in four years.
Pineda started all 22 games as a junior and was OSU's third-leading scorer with six goals and four assists. The midfielder tallied 54 shots, 24 of those on goal, and recorded a pair of game-winning goals.
A fifth-year senior wingback, Morris played in 21 games and was a standout for OSU's record setting defense that ranked among the national leaders with 15 shutouts. She also thrived in the attack with a career-high four goals, three of those game winners, to go along with five assists
In her second collegiate season, Wilson led the Cowgirls with 19 points on the strength of five goals and nine assists. The midfielder ranked second in the Big 12 in assists, producing the most by an OSU player in a season since 2019.
Breiner anchored the Cowgirls' back line to help OSU post 15 clean sheets in 22 games as OSU recorded a .682 shutout percentage and an 0.86 goals-against average.
Along with her defensive efforts, Breiner recorded a pair of goals, and the fifth-year senior led all Cowgirl field players in minutes played with 1,875 while playing full time in 15 matches.
