Cowboy Tennis Drops Contest at Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team dropped its match against Memphis, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
With the loss, OSU dipped to 2-8, while the Tigers improved to 4-7.
Ian Bracks and Derek Pham provided the lone points of the day for the Cowboys, with Bracks defeating Sam Reeve, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, and Pham downing Michael Kouame, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles action, OSU's Alessio Basile and Nicolas Kobelt bested No. 59 Conor Gannon and Sam Reeve, 6-3. The court one pairing for the Cowboys is now a team-leading 5-1 together.
Memphis' Pablo Alemany and Michael Kouame defeated Isaac Becroft and Thomas Gadecki, 6-3, and Harry Rock and Moritz Kudernatsch outlasted OSU's Bracks and Ben Stecker, 7-6 (2), to claim the doubles point.
The Tigers quickly pushed the match to the brink as Luis Sandoval downed Stecker, 6-1, 6-2, and No. 78 Gannon took down No. 57 Becroft, 6-2, 6-2.
Memphis clinched the match on court two with Alemany's 6-4, 7-5 win over Basile. The Tigers claimed the match's final point on court four, where Kudernatsch defeated Kobelt, 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 (2).
Next up, OSU continues its road trip with the Cowboys making their way to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. OSU is set to face Princeton on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. and Penn on Feb. 23 at 11 a.m.
