May 04, 2025 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATERÂ -Â The fifth-seeded Oklahoma State women's golf team, led by sixth-year head coach Greg Robertson, is prepped for the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Â
The top five teams in each regional advance to the NCAA Championship's final site. The Cowgirls are looking to do so for the fifth straight season and for the 23rd time in the 32 postseasons since the NCAA first adopted a regional qualifying format.
Â
The Cowgirls will play in the desert for the first time this season and face one of their longest courses, to date. Superstition Mountain's 6,544-yard layout, designed by Jack Nicklaus, features perfectly manicured greens and a challenging design made to test golfers at the highest level.Â
Â
Similar to last month's Big 12 Championship, golfers will compete in 54 holes of stroke play competition, with 18 holes on each of the three days. Despite the location and time of year, the weather will be relatively mild for the first two days of action, with temperatures sitting in the high 60s and the potential for rain during Tuesday's second round.
Â
The 12-team field features of blend of top-ranked teams, including Big Ten Champion Oregon and eighth-ranked Arizona State. The Cowgirls are paired with No. 20 Mississippi State and California for the regional's first round and will tee off on hole No. 10. The first Cowgirl will start play at 10 a.m. CT, with the rest following behind every 11 minutes until 10:44 a.m. CT.
Â
Coverage
The NCAA Gold Canyon Regional (May 5-7) will have live scoring through Scoreboard. Check back with okstate.com for daily round-by-round updates. In addition, follow @CowgirlGolf on socials for live updates on the action.

OSU at NCAA Regionals
- OSU has qualified for NCAA regional competition in 31 of the last 32 full seasons since the format was put in place.
- Last season, the Cowgirls posted their lowest 18-hole score in an NCAA Regional in program history. They fired a final round 9-under 279 to jump four teams and qualify for the NCAA Championships.
- During the four-year run of NCAA Championship appearances, the Robertson-led Cowgirls have produced a top 3 individual finisher at each NCAA Regional, including 2022 Stillwater Regional champion, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard.
Team Notes
- OSU is ranked 29th nationally.
- The Cowgirls are coming off their best team showing of the season at the Big 12 Championships. Despite falling short in a three-team playoff, the Pokes led the field in birdies and par-5 scoring and were the only team with four top-20 golfers.
- The Pokes have logged six top-5 showings in 2024-25, highlighted by runner-up finishes at the Dale McNamara Invitational (Oct. 14-15) and the FAU Paradise Invitational (Feb. 3-4). They shot a season-best 15-under-par at the latter.
- The Cowgirls also tied for fourth place at the prestigious Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Oct. 21-23) against a field made up exclusively of top-30 teams.
The Lineup
- This week's lineup features young talent, but with that youth comes four total years of regional experience.
- Sophomore Marta Silchenko (No. 88) sets the table for this lineup. The Latvian has turned it on over the last couple of weeks, earning a spot on the all-tournament team at the Big 12 Championship last month with a tie for fifth. Silchenko is playing in the second regional tournament of her collegiate career. She tied for seventh last year to help the Cowgirls secure an NCAA Championship berth.
- Grace Kilcrease, ranked 35th nationally, has been a light for the Cowgirls. She posted seven top-10 appearances, including individual medalist honors at the Carmel Cup, and now owns the program record for lowest round (63). The Tulsa transfer place seventh or better in each of her two regional appearances with the Golden Hurricane, including a fifth-place finish as a true freshman in 2023.
- Freshman Summer Lee has played in every tournament this season and will make her postseason debut in Arizona. The first-year has placed top 20 five times, highlighted by an individual win at the Texas State Invitational earlier this spring.
- Ellie Bushnell (73.34 stroke average) will appear in her second-straight regional tournament with the Cowgirls. Bushnell has been a consistent player for the Pokes, claiming five rounds in the 60s and 10 rounds of par-or-better (both second most on the team).
- Fellow first-year, Tarapath Panya will also make her collegiate postseason debut. The freshman from Thailand has netted 22 rounds of experience. Her seventh-place tie at last fall's Dale McNamara Invitational marked the best debut by a Cowgirl since 2018.
- Freshman Lucy Darr will act as a substitute for the Cowgirls.
