EUGENE, Ore. – Oklahoma State track & field wraps up the athletic calendar at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Feld Championships in Eugene, Ore., with five Cowboys and five Cowgirls qualified in their respective events.
Competition begins Wednesday with three Cowboys competing. Alex Stitt opens in the 1,500 Meter semifinals, with the top five athletes in each heat plus the next two fastest time qualifiers advancing to Friday's final. This is the third straight season Stitt has qualified to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 and will be looking to make his first final.
Later in the night, Blair Anderson is making his NCAA Championship debut in the Long Jump after shattering his personal best with his leap of 7.93 meters at the NCAA West Prelims. The 2025 Big 12 indoor champion will be competing in the second flight as he enters with the tenth-best mark in the country this season.
Rounding out the first night of action is returning NCAA bronze medalist Denis Kipngetich in the 10,000 Meters. Kipngetich placed third last season and was fifth indoors in the 5,000 Meters. He enters with the third-best personal best in the 10K this season.
The Cowgirls kick off action Thursday with 2023 All-American Emma Robbins in the Hammer Throw final. Robbins placed fourth at the 2023 NCAA Championships and placed second in the Big 12 this year in her first season as a Cowgirl.
A pair of Cowgirls are making their NCAA Outdoor Championship debuts Thursday with Kaylie Politza in the 800 Meters and Josphine Mwaura in the 10,000 Meters. Politza will be looking to make her first NCAA final after qualifying for the semifinals indoors as well. Mwaura qualified with the 12th and final qualifying spot at the NCAA West Prelims after entering with the 43rd best mark in the region.
Annie Molenhouse will also be making her NCAA Championship debut Friday and Saturday in the Heptathlon after winning the Big 12 title just a few weeks ago. Molenhouse is the third Cowgirl in program history to qualify for the outdoor championships after Bailey Golden (2022-24) and Olivija Vaitaityte (2022, 2024).
The men will conclude their competition Friday night with a pair of Cowboy national champions Fouad Messaoudi and Brian Musau in the 5,000 Meters. Messaoudi was the 2023 3,000 Meter indoor champion and Musau won the 5,000 Meter NCAA title this season indoors. Both Cowboys will be looking to become the first in program history to win the 5K outdoors and become the first Cowboy national champion outdoors since Nick Miller won the Hammer Throw in 2016.
Cowgirl freshman Isca Chelangat wraps up the festivities Saturday in the women's 5,000 Meters after an impressive debut campaign that included placing second at the Big 12 Championships.
The entirety of the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be televised on the ESPN family of networks with Wednesday and Thursday action on ESPN starting at 6 p.m. CT.
