- Oklahoma State held UT Martin to seven points, which is the fewest points the Cowboys have allowed since Arkansas Pine-Bluff scored seven on Sept. 17, 2022.Â
- Wendell Gregory became the first Cowboy since Jordan Brailford against Kansas on Sept. 29, 2018 to record three sacks in a game. He also tied a Big 12 freshman record that was set by Missouri's Aldon Smith against Colorado in 2009.Â
- All three of those sacks came in the first half, and marked the first sacks of his career.Â
- Hauss Hejny is the first freshman to start a season opener under center for the Cowboys since Spencer Sanders in 2019 against Oregon State. He was in for the first four drives before Zane Flores took over for the remainder of the contest. Hejny went 5-for-10 passing with 96 yards and a touchdown and added 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground in his OSU debut. Flores went 13-for-20 passing with 136 yards in his first collegiate appearance.Â
- Terrill Davis snagged a pair of receptions for 75 yards in his first game as a Cowboy.Â
- Brandon Rawls tallied 11 total tackles as well as a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss in his first game as a Cowboy.
- Four of OSU's five starting offensive linemen made their Cowboy debut in Thursday's contest. The other, Austin Kawecki, made his first career start.Â
- Last season, UT Martin ranked third in the FCS in passes intercepted, tallying 19 interceptions on the year. Oklahoma State quarterbacks did not throw an interception today.Â
- In 2024, UT Martin ranked ninth in the FCS in 3rd down conversion defense with a 30.6 opponent success percentage. The Oklahoma State offense went 10-for-18 on third down today, a success percentage of 55.5%.
- Christian Fitzpatrick secured his first reception as a Cowboy with 13:30 left in the first quarter.Â
- Hejny notched his first career rushing touchdown and the first touchdown of the 2025 Oklahoma State Football season with a six-yard scramble with 11:20 to go in the opening quarter.Â

- The 10-yard completion also marked Hejny's first career passing touchdown.
- Hejny found Shamar Rigby for a 41-yard connection to mark the first reception as a Cowboy for Rigby with 6:38 remaining in the first quarter.Â
- Sam Jackson V nabbed his first reception as a Poke with 13:25 left in the second quarter.Â
- Cam Abshire hauled in his first FBS reception with 4:26 remaining in the second quarter.
- Armstrong Nnodim notched the first tackle for loss of his collegiate career, forcing a two-yard loss with 1:53 remaining in the second quarter.
- Taje McCoy and Brandon Rawls picked up the first tackle for loss of their Cowboy careers, combining to force a 2-yard loss with 5:03 left in the third quarter.
- Kale Smith recorded the second interception of his career in the fourth quarter. Jacobi Oliphant Jr. hurried UT Martin quarterback Jase Bauer into making the errant throw.Â
- Will Monney hauled in a 9-yard reception with 7:36 left in the fourth quarter, the first of his Oklahoma State career.
- Sesi Vailahi's 9-yard rush scored the third touchdown of the night for the Pokes and marked the third rushing touchdown of Vailahi's career.Â
- Logan Ward knocked in two field goals - one in each half - to mark the fifth time in his career that he's made at least two field goals in a game.Â
