After a torrid preseason campaign that saw him total 174 all-purpose yards and a touchdown on 29 touches, Ollie Gordon II is poised to serve as superstar running back De'Von Achane's backfield mate in Miami. Gordon and the Dolphins are set to hit the road for their week one duel against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Sept. 7, at noon CDT.
Two former Cowboy standouts will face off in week one, as former Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Chuba Hubbard and the Carolina Panthers head south to take on 10th-year pro Emmanuel Ogbah and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hubbard enters this season after a career-best year in 2024, during which he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns for the first time in his professional career. Kickoff is set for noon on Sunday.
Mason Rudolph and Jaylen Warren are back for their third season together as Pittsburgh Steelers teammates, with the former returning to the team following a one-year stint with the Tennessee Titans in 2024. The pair of Cowboy alumni will take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday at noon CDT.
After signing a 1-year, $3.1 million deal with the Browns this offseason, offensive lineman Teven Jenkins will make his Cleveland debut on Sunday at noon CDT against the Cincinnati Bengals.
2023 OSU team captain Nick Martin made the San Francisco 49ers' final roster after being selected by the team in the third round of April's draft. Martin enjoyed a highlight-filled preseason campaign, carving out a role for himself to patrol San Francisco's defensive unit alongside fellow linebacker and 4-time All-Pro Fred Warner. Martin and the 49ers are slated to travel to Seattle for an intra-divisional matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday, with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m. CDT.
Rookie pass-rusher Collin Oliver and the Green Bay Packers begin their season at Lambeau Field against 2021 All-American linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez and the reigning NFC North champion Detroit Lions. Kickoff is set for 3:25 CDT Sunday.
Storied former Cowboy playmakers Justice Hill and Tylan Wallace have each solidified their roles in Baltimore since being drafted by the Ravens. Hill, a reliable receiver out of the backfield, and Wallace, an electric return man, are well-prepared to take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 7:20 p.m. CDT for the first Sunday Night Football matchup of the new season.
Rounding out the list of Oklahoma State alumni on professional rosters is linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga, whose Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings at 7:15 p.m. CDT on Monday for a highly anticipated NFC North faceoff in the first edition of Monday Night Football.
