Freibaum named to Mannelly Award watch list

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State long snapper Shea Freibaum is on the preseason watch list for the 2025 Patrick Mannelly Award, announced Monday night by the organization.
Freibaum is one of 30 total players and one of three from the Big 12 included on the list for the award, which is presented annually to the best FBS long snapper.
A junior out of Scottsdale, Arizona, Freibaum enters 2025 with 173 career long snaps without incident, including 121 punts and 52 place kicks while playing in all 28 games since his arrival.
He performed 107 of OSU's 108 long snaps last season, including 55 punts and 52 placekicks. He also made one of the most important plays of the season when he recovered a muffed punt in the fourth quarter against Arkansas to set up a touchdown two plays later to help win the game.
As a freshman in 2023 he snapped without incident on all 66 Oklahoma State punts for the season.
Freibaum was one of the top long snapper prospects in the nation out of high school, as Kohl's ranked him the No. 2 long snapper in the 2023 class. He earned a spot in the Under Armour All-America Game and received all-state recognition, as well as Kohl's All-America honors.
Semifinalists for the 2025 Patrick Mannelly Award will be announced November 17, and finalists will be named December 1. The winner will be announced at the award ceremony at Bernie's Book Bank's facility in Lake Bluff, Illinois, on December 13.
