Cowboy Baseball Welcomes Strong Class Of Newcomers For 2026

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State added 26 newcomers to its roster for 2026 in a recruiting class ranked in the top 10 nationally by at least one publication.
A breakdown of the class includes 16 freshmen, seven junior college transfers and three four-year college transfers. It includes players from 13 different states, including five from California, four from Illinois and three from Missouri, as well as one from Canada.

Hudson Barrett, LHP, Bakersfield, Calif. (UC Santa Barbara/Frontier HS)
- Spent three seasons at UC Santa Barbara from 2023-25
- Was 6-2 with a 2.12 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 68 IP in 26 appearances, including seven starts
- Pitched in just five games over the last two seasons due to Tommy John surgery in 2024
- Was an All-American as a freshman in 2023, going 5-1 with a 1.92 ERA and racking up 82 Ks in 61 IP

- Played senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and posted a 6-1 record and 1.21 ERA while recording 37 strikeouts in 40 innings
- Went 2-5 with a save and a 4.58 ERA in 12 appearances as a junior to help lead Granite Bay HS to a league championship and a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division II title

- Four-year starter at Clay Center Community High School where he posted a career .489 batting average and .653 on-base percentage
- Is the CCCHS career leader in home runs (30), RBIs (156), runs (139) and walks (112) and also had 31 doubles and 43 stolen bases
- Named the Gatorade Kansas High School Baseball Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025, becoming only the third two-time winner in Kansas history
