Schooner Fall Classic

Cowgirl Golf set for weekend trip to Norman
September 19, 2025 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – The 20th-ranked Oklahoma State women's golf team continues its fall slate Saturday at the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 20-22) in Norman, Oklahoma.
For the sixth consecutive season, the Pokes take a short trip south to the Belmar Golf Club for the event. Belmar features a 6,182-yard, par-70 course that pairs the natural beauty of Central Oklahoma with a winding, challenging layout.
The Cowgirls have captured three of the tournament's last 12 team championships (2021, 2015, 2013). All-American Grace Kilcrease broke the Oklahoma State program record for lowest 18-hole score at last year's Schooner Fall Classic, firing a 63 (-7) in the second round.
Format:
The Schooner Fall Classic is a 54-hole stroke-play tournament, composed of three 18-hole rounds. Due to weather concerns on Sunday, the first two rounds will be played on Saturday, with shotgun starts scheduled for 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. CDT. The third and final round is scheduled for Monday morning.
Each of the 16 teams will bring five golfers, with the top four scores counting towards daily totals.

Back to Belmar:
Of the six Cowgirls set to tee off this weekend, four have prior experience at the Schooner Fall Classic.
Senior Grace Kilcrease's record-breaking 7-under 63 in the second round led her to a top 10 finish in 2024's rain-shortened contest.
Junior Ellie Bushnell returns to Norman for a third time, with scores of 74-69—143 (+3) and 73-68-69—210 (E) in 2024 and 2023, respectively.
Sophomore Summer Lee – who is competing as an individual – carded a 71-68—139 (-1) last year, joining Grace Kilcrease as the only two Pokes to finish the event under par.
Marta Silchenko missed last fall's tournament due to injury but competed in 2023 as a freshman, with a 1-under 69 in the second round.
Schooner Newcomers:
Billed for their Schooner Fall Classic debuts are sophomore Tarapath Panya and true freshman Yu-Chu Chen.
Panya kicks off her 2025-26 season on Saturday and looks to build on a freshman campaign that saw her reach as high as No. 158 in the Scoreboard by Clipp'd rankings.
Yu-Chu Chen is back for her second tournament as a Cowgirl after making her collegiate debut last month at the Carmel Cup (Aug. 29-31).
