Cowgirl Tennis No. 10 in ITA Preseason Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team came in at No. 10 in Wednesday's ITA Preseason Team Rankings.
The Cowgirls finished last season ranked at No. 15, after making its sixth NCAA Elite Eight appearance in program history.
The nine teams ahead of OSU are defending national champion Georgia, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, Duke and Stanford.
Texas Tech (20), UCF (24) and Baylor (25) are the only other Big 12 teams appearing in the rankings, and they are among five of Oklahoma State's scheduled opponents in the top-25, joining Michigan (7) and Ohio State (13).
The Cowgirls will open the season in Lubbock for ITA Kickoff Weekend on Jan. 23-25, looking to advance to the ITA Indoor National Championships, scheduled for Feb. 6-10. OSU will open with Wichita State before taking on Long Beach State or Texas Tech the following day, depending on results.
