History in 2024
Oklahoma State women's tennis is coming off a historic campaign in 2025, staking claim to its first Super Regional win since 2017, second consecutive Big 12 regular season title and third Regional Championship in the last four NCAA tournaments. The Cowgirls won 12 consecutive matches during the season and made their 13th consecutive appearance the NCAA Tournament. Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp were named ITA All-Americans in doubles after finishing the season top 10 nationally. Nijkamp became the third player in program history to be named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, she was also selected to the All-Big 12 First Team in both singles and doubles along with the All-Big 12 Freshman Team. Komar joined Nijkamp on both All-Big 12 First Teams in singles and doubles.
The NCAA Tournament Streak
With a trip to the Elite Eight last season, Oklahoma State made its 13th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. During that time, the Cowgirls have reached six Sweet 16's, three Elite 8's and one NCAA final in 2016.
New Faces
Alongside returners Anastasiya Komar, Rose Marie Nijkamp and Melisa Ercan, Oklahoma State has added proven winners and young talent to its lineup for 2026. OSU brought in reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, Olivia Lincer, through the transfer portal, along with freshmen Luca Udvardy. Lincer, an All-Big 12 First Team member in singles and doubles, arrives at OSU after two years each at UCF. Udvardy enters with an impressive resume, winning three singles titles and two doubles titles on the professional tour, while holding a career-best ITF junior ranking of No. 14.
ITA Indoor National Championships - The Rundown
Taking place in Champaign and Evanston, Illinois, 14 of the top-25 teams in the country, along with host teams Illinois and Northwestern, are set to compete at the ITA Indoor National Championships this weekend. Every team, besides Illinois and Northwestern, earned their bid by advancing through ITA Kickoff Weekend, where Oklahoma State got wins against No. 22 Texas Tech and Wichita State to punch its ticket. The Cowgirls are the only Big 12 team to appear in the field. Should Oklahoma State win its opening match against No. 9 NC State, it will take on the winner of No. 4 Auburn and Northwestern in the quarterfinals.
An Oklahoma State Win Would...
• Advance to the second round of the ITA Indoor National Championships.
• Give it two wins over top-25 opponents this season.
• Win its first ever matchup against NC State.
