Wesloski, Keltner each claim third Big 12 weekly award
October 12, 2026 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – No. 18 Oklahoma State added two more Big 12 weekly football awards Monday following its win over UCF as linebacker Ethan Wesloski was named the Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Sam Keltner was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
It was the third weekly honor this season for both Cowboys, matching the most of the season for any conference player. It was also the 11th Big 12 weekly honor for Oklahoma State this year, which is the most for any team.
Wesloski, who was honored after the wins over Oregon and West Virginia, recorded 17 total tackles for the second game in a row, tying his career high. He is now the only FBS player with two 17 tackle games this season. On Saturday, four of his tackles kept UCF short of the line to gain on third down and 11 held UCF to a gain of three yards or less. Wesloski now ranks No. 1 among Power 4 players with an average of 10.6 tackles per game and he has led OSU in tackles four times through five games this season.
Keltner, who was also honored after the Oregon and West Virginia wins, went two-for-two on field goal attempts, making a 40-yarder and a 29-yarder. Including Saturday's two, he is now 12-for-12 on field goal attempts to start his Oklahoma State career, which matches the seventh-longest streak in school history and the longest streak to start a Cowboy career. It's the longest streak since Tanner Brown made 16 straight spanning the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Keltner, who is also 19-for-19 on PAT attempts, is the only FBS kicker with more than 10 field goal attempts who is still perfect.
Season tickets are sold out to Oklahoma State football games this year, but there are still opportunities to get tickets to see the Cowboys in Stillwater.
A small number of single-game tickets remain for the November 15 game against Texas Tech and the November 28 game against Kansas.
Tickets are available at www.okstate.com/tickets or by contacting the ticket office at 877-ALL-4-OSU. Fans can still secure their tickets to sold out games through SeatGeek, the official secondary partner of OSU Athletics.
