The Cowboys finished at 11-under, just two strokes behind Auburn. OSU enters match play as the two-seed and will face three-seed UCLA.
Stout birdied four of his last six holes en route to a tournament record-tying 65. Auburn's Logan Reilly broke the record set by Scottie Scheffler just moments before Stout finished his round.
