The Basics
No. 26 Oklahoma State is set to open Big 12 play this weekend, hosting West Virginia at 5 p.m. CT and Cincinnati at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center. The Cowgirls dropped their last match against No. 2 Ohio State, 4-3, to end their non-conference slate. OSU swept both of this weekend's opponents in 2025, as part of a 12-1 conference record last season.

Oklahoma State appeared at No. 26 in this week's ITA team rankings and is one of 11 Big 12 teams to be ranked. Arizona State (5), Texas Tech (23), BYU (29), TCU (33), Utah (35), UCF (42), Arizona (43), Houston (47), Baylor (54) and Colorado (74) were the other Big 12 teams to make appearances this week. In the individual singles rankings, Rose Marie Nijkamp came in at No. 24, while Lucia Peyre climbed to No. 45 and Olivia Lincer made her first appearance at No. 40. In the doubles poll, Nijkamp and Anastasiya Komar appeared at No. 24, while Lincer and Marcela Lopez debuted at No. 66.
The Matchup
Oklahoma State is undefeated against both of its opponents this weekend, holding a 10-0 advantage over West Virginia, while last year's win over Cincinnati marks the first meeting between the programs, as the 2024 meeting vacated due to NCAA violation. The Cowgirls have outscored West Virginia 53-3 in those 10 matchups, including seven sweeps. OSU also swept Cincinnati in the win last season, getting singles points from Anastasiya Komar, Rose Marie Nijkamp and Gracie Epps to go along with the doubles point to make for a 4-0 victory.
History in 2024
Oklahoma State women's tennis is coming off a historic campaign in 2025, staking claim to its first Super Regional win since 2017, second-consecutive Big 12 regular season title and third Regional Championship in the last four NCAA tournaments. The Cowgirls won 12 consecutive matches during the season and made their 13th consecutive appearance the NCAA Tournament. Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp were named ITA All-Americans in doubles after finishing the season top 10 nationally. Nijkamp became the third player in program history to be named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, she was also selected to the All-Big 12 First Team in both singles and doubles along with the All-Big 12 Freshman Team. Komar joined Nijkamp on both All-Big 12 First Teams in singles and doubles.
New Faces
Alongside returners Anastasiya Komar, Rose Marie Nijkamp and Melisa Ercan, Oklahoma State has added proven winners and young talent to its lineup for 2026. OSU brought in reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, Olivia Lincer, through the transfer portal, along with freshmen Luca Udvardy. Lincer, an All-Big 12 First Team member in singles and doubles, arrives at OSU after two years each at UCF. Udvardy enters with an impressive resume, winning three singles titles and two doubles titles on the professional tour, while holding a career-best ITF junior ranking of No. 14.
