Barnes Named to Jet Award Watch List

STILLWATERÂ - Oklahoma State wide receiver Chris Barnes is one of 20 FBS players on the 2026 watch list for the Jet Award, given annually to the nation's best kick returner.
A redshirt sophomore, Barnes was a January addition from the transfer portal.
At Wake Forest in 2025, he earned All-ACC third team honors as an all-pupose selection. He played in 11 games that season and returned seven kicks for 263 yards and a touchdown. His season highlight was 98 yard kickkoff return for a touchdown against NC State.
The winner of the 2026 Jet Award will be selected by a panel of voters that includes media members from the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), former winners of the Jet Award and two founders of the award.
