Five Cowboys Named to Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State freshman wrestlers Sergio Vega, Austin Johnson, Dee Lockett, Kody Routledge and Ronnie Ramirez were selected to the 2025-26 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.

Each Cowboy competed in at least one event to be eligible for the team. Vega headlined the group as an undefeated NCAA champion who also maintained great academic standing. Lockett also competed heavily for the Cowboys,qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

To qualify, student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team must be first-time freshmen who have completed 24 semester hours coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00. The student-athletes must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests as well.
