Preston Stout in top 10 heading into final day

FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma State men's golf wrapped up the first day of action at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational on Monday in 10th place at Colonial Country Club.
After opening with a 4-under 276 to stand in seventh place after the morning round, OSU shot an 18-over 298 to stand at 14-over par 574.
Senior Cowboy Preston Stout finished the day tied for seventh place at two-under 138 after firing a 63 followed by a 75.
Fellow senior Ethan Fang carded a 4-under 66 in round one before shooting a 75 in round two. He remains tied for 13th place heading into Tuesday's final round.
Senior Gaven Lane posted scores of 74 and 72 to stand in a tie for 52nd place at par 146.
Senior Eric Lee finished the day at 149 with rounds of 73 and 76.
Junior Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson signed for rounds of 74 and 77 to get to his 151 total.
Fahlberg-Johnsson will tee off for OSU at 7:48 a.m. with the rest of the Cowboys following in 12-minute intervals. The third and final round is slated to begin at 8 a.m. CT on the par-70, 7,289-yard layout.
