Cowboy Netters Fall to Nebraska

TULSA, Okla. – After a late venue change due to inclement weather, the Oklahoma State men's tennis team fell to No. 38 Nebraska, 5-2, at Tulsa's Case Tennis Center.
The Cowboys, now 5-11 (0-5 Big 12), dropped the opening doubles point after surrendering matches at Nos. 1 and 2 but picked up a win in the final doubles match finished as Vlad Bondarenko and Tomas Patiño defeated Sebastian Florczyk and Robert Schulze, 9-7.
The Huskers, who move to 15-8 (1-2 Big 12), sealed the team victory as they won the first three singles matches finished at Nos. 1, 2 and 5 to go up, 4-0.
Oklahoma State won two of the final three matches, however, as Bondarenko won in three sets at No. 3 and Ilija Martinoski won the first two sets in tiebreakers at No. 6 to make the final score 5-2, Nebraska.
The Cowboys return to action Sunday as they take on the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas.
