Cowboy Tennis Drops Match at No. 7 Baylor

WACO, Texas – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team wrapped up Big 12 regular season play Sunday as the Cowboys fell at No. 7 Baylor, 6-1, at the Baylor Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
The Bears, now 18-3 (5-0), swept doubles competition as they rolled at Nos. 1 and 2 behind the play of their fifth and 78th-ranked tandems, but OSU's No. 3 team of Vlad Bondarenko and Tomas Patiño narrowly lost in a tiebreaker, 8-7(5).
Baylor continued its impressive play in singles competition with its five ranked individual players, but Ilija Martinoski provided the Cowboy highlight of the day as he took down 87th-ranked Dennis Lengsfeld at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-4, in the last match finished.
The Cowboys, who fall to 5-12 (0-6), will take Monday off before facing Tulsa in Stillwater on Tuesday in their final tune-up before the Big 12 Championships, scheduled for April 29-May 1 in Waco.
