Vines Concludes Second Round At NCAAs

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Oklahoma State's Kelsey Vines carded an 83 during her second round at the NCAA Championship on Wednesday to stand in a tie for 100th place at Vanderbilt's Legends Club.
Vines started the day in 18th place before posting her 11-over score at the par-72, 6,377-yard layout. The OSU junior bogeyed two of her first three and found more trouble at the seventh and eighth with consecutive double bogeys. Vines carded her lone birdie of the day at the ninth to turn in 5-over 41.
The St. George, Utah native opened her inward nine with three consecutive bogeys en route to a 6-over 43.
Alabama's Brooke Pancake leads the individual race at 6-under 138.
Vines will begin tomorrow's third round as one of eight players tied at 11-over par 156. She will be grouped with Georgia's Rocio Sanchez Lobato and Maria Salinas of Florida State. The trio will tee off at 8:28 a.m. (CST).
