No. 31 Cowboy Tennis Defeats No. 46 Dartmouth, 4-2

FORT WORTH, Texas - No. 31 Oklahoma State men's tennis team wrapped up a solid week of competition, winning a 4-2 match over No. 46 Dartmouth on Sunday in Fort Worth, Texas.
"We had a great week of competition," coach Jay Udwadia said. "I think this helped to prepare us for Big 12 competition. The guys did a great job all week."
The Cowboys (15-3; 0-0 Big 12) fell in a tight doubles point, losing close matches on courts one and three. Play on court two was abandoned as Nicolai Ferrigno and Lucas Gerch were tied with the Tannenbaum/Schmidt team, 6-6.
With Dartmouth taking a 1-0 lead after doubles, OSU responded by winning four-straight singles matches.
Sophomore Arjun Kadhe, ranked No. 122, finished his match first on court three, where he faced Ciro Riccardi. Kadhe started the Cowboys off with a straight-set win, 6-4, 6-3.
Picking up the next win was Nicolai Ferrigno, who competed on court five for the Pokes. He went against Brendan Tannenebaum. The Cowboy senior also earned his win in two sets, dominating in the first, 6-1. The second set went to a tiebreaker, where Ferrigno only gave up one point, winning 7-6(1).
Sophomore Lucas Gerch extended the Cowboys' lead to 3-1, earning a win over Chris Kipouras at the No. 2-spot. The first set was decided in a tiebreaker won by Gerch. He carried the momentum into the second set and won 6-3.
Cowboy senior Jakob Sude clinched the match en route to his fifth win of the spring. Sude faced No. 80 Dovydas Sakinis on court one. The German won in two tight sets, winning the first 7-5, before taking a tiebreaker win in the second, 7-6(5).
Play continued on court six, where the Cowboys dropped a tough point; however play on court four, which was going to a third set, was not finished.
The Cowboys look to continue their winning ways as they dive into Big 12 competition on March 27, hosting No. 8 Texas at 6 p.m. at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
