Cowboy Tennis Falls to Texas

AUSTIN, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team lost for the first time in Big 12 play, falling to No. 19 Texas, 4-0, on Friday at the Texas Tennis Center.
The 11th-ranked Cowboys (20-5, 2-1 Big 12) lost the doubles point for only the fifth time this season, dropping two of three matches.
Brady Draheim and Mathieu Scaglia lost first to Texas' Harrison Scott and Christian Sigsgaard, 6-1.
The Cowboys fought back on court two where Luke Hammond and Jurence Mendoza defeated Yuya Ito and Colin Markes of Texas, 6-3.
However, No. 64 Artur Dubinski and Eleftherios Theodorou fell to Texas' No. 7 Rodrigo Banzer and Leonardo
The Cowboys struggled in singles play as No. 60 Ito of Texas defeated No. 71 Dubinski, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. Jurence Mendoza also fell to his opponent, No. 77 Telles, 6-2, 6-3.
Cowboy Senior Tristan Meraut would give up his match to No. 122 Sigsgaard, 6-4, 6-4, to give the Longhorns the fourth and final point of the match.
The Cowboys will be back in action this weekend on Sunday in Fort Worth as they take on No. 9 TCU at 1 p.m.
