Cowboy Tennis Hits the Road for Tulsa

Stillwater, Okla. - The 18th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team will return to action this week when
it heads to Tulsa for an in-state battle against the 30th-ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Thursday at 5 p.m.
OSU, which jumped six spots in the most recent national rankings, enters play with a 6-5 mark overall on the season.
The ITA released singles and doubles rankings for the first time since preseason rankings on Wednesday.
Matej Vocel and Henrik Korsgaard landed themselves at the No. 24 spot in the doubles rankings with a 2-2 record on the year. Among the notable victories for the Cowboy tandem on the year is a 6-2 victory over No. 11 Juan Carlos Aguilar and Bjorn Thomas of Texas A&M. Emile Hudd has also paired with Vocel and comes in at No. 69 with a 3-3 mark in doubles play.
Vocel holds the No. 44 spot in singles rankings and was joined by Hudd in the rankings, who was marked at No. 106.
The Cowboys are looking to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to Ole Miss on Sunday.
No. 44 Vocel proved to be a vital leader in the match being the first Cowboy to score in singles play over No. 65 Tim Sandkaulen. Vocel extended his singles record to 7-2 on the season. Dominik Kellovsky made an impressive and crucial comeback for the Pokes against Lukas Engelhardt. Kellovsky secured a three-set victory to tie up the match at 3-3 overall, pushing him to a 4-2 singles record at home.
Tulsa holds a 9-7 record on the overall season and an 8-4 record at home. The Golden Hurricane last competed against Ole Miss as well, where they were also dealt a 4-3 loss.
The last time OSU and Tulsa squared off was in January in Stillwater with the Pokes sweeping the match, 7-0. Overall, the Cowboys hold the overall record over the Golden Hurricane, 44-15.
