March 27, 2021 | Cowboy Tennis
Stillwater, Okla. - The 18th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis will return home to host No. 26 Central Florida on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center at 11 a.m.Â
The Cowboys are coming off a 4-3 victory at No. 30 Tulsa on March 25 to improve to 7-5 on the season.
Despite the Pokes dropping the doubles point, veterans got the Cowboys back on top in singles action with victories from junior Emile Hudd and seniors Mathieu Scaglia and Dominik Kellovksy. No.44 Matej Vocel sealed the deal for OSU and claimed a 7-5, 7-6(4) victory over No. 73 Kody Pearson and pushed the squad to a 2-2 record on the road.Â
On the season, the Cowboys have squared off with seven ranked opponents.Â
Central Florida holds a 10-3 mark on the year and a 5-1 record on the road. UCF's Gabriel Decamps checks in at No. 4 in singles and No. 21 in doubles action with partner Trey Hilderbrand.Â
The last time the two teams squared off was in 2019 in Orlando where the Knights claimed a 4-0 victory. OSU has won two of the previous three meetings in the series.Â
